Life Member 066 Javors (Jay) Lucas

Javors J. Lucas, Jr. -MITCHELLVILLE, MD - Lt. Colonel Javors J. Lucas, Jr. passed away Friday, December 16, 2011. -Lt. Colonel Lucas will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, mentor and friend. -He served twenty-four years in the United States Army. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from Tuskegee Institute; earned a Master of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from Bowie State University; and continued to perpetuate educational excellence as a Professor at Webster University. His resume' included work at the Pentagon in military intelligence. He received countless medals and commendations while serving in the military, and was a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. -Left to cherish his memory, wife: Dora B. Lucas of Mitchellville, MD; parents: Javors and Mary Lucas of Macon, GA.; three sons: Javors Lucas III (Tammy) of Norcross, GA., Mark Lucas, of Tampa, FL., Kristoffer Lucas of Catonsville, MD.; Siblings: Charles Lucas (Earline) of Saginaw, MI., William Lucas (Sylvia); Michael Lucas (Linda), Ayesha Thornton(Henry), Senator Miriam Paris of Macon, GA and Alex Lucas of Atlanta, GA, seven grandsons, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. -Funeral services will be held December 23, 2011 at the James R. Cousins Municipal Center, Glenarden Gold Room, 8600 Glenarden Pkwy, Glenarden, MD, 20706. -In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association "In Memory Of Javors J.
